Nuvera Communications is a leading Minnesota broadband provider headquartered in New Ulm, MN. Nuvera’s state-of-the-art fiber network provides reliable and affordable residential internet service through both fiber-to-the neighborhoods and newly expanding Gig-speed fiber-to-the-home services. Responsible for overall installing, maintaining, and managing Nuvera’s Access Networks, DC power, and SONET networks, encompassing both hardware and software components. Nuvera’s Access Networks comprise various systems, including the Calix B-Series, Calix E-Series, Adtran TA5K, Adtran TA1000 series, as well as Coax and fixed wireless platforms. The primary goal is to ensure the delivery of top-notch service to our customers.
The position will include:
- Installation and maintenance of our access networks which include the following equipment: ADTRAN TA Series, Calix OCCAM, Cambium Fixed Wireless, Calix E-Series, and CATV platforms. Maintenance includes monitoring capacity, software, and firmware upgrades
- Installation and maintenance of SONET gear including all types of low-band and high-band circuit
- Configuration and support of CPE equipment
- Installation and maintenance of DC power systems
- Routine preventative maintenance
The following skills and experience are preferred:
- 2-year degree (Networking Services or related degree)
- 6 years relevant experience (project management, telecommunications, network, fixed wireless, IT, electrical)
- Power Limited Technician License (Registered, unlicensed) (Can be obtained after hire)
- Other training desirable for this position; DSLAM Training, Cisco CCENT or CCNA, and DC power
Wage:
The wage range for this position is $28.37 - $42.79 per hour, based on education, certifications, and experience.
